The Federal Government Main Gazette is now published through the online e-gazette system which is the electronic version that is used under Section 3 & 18 (4) (Amendment) which allows the public to receive the latest information on their fingertips. The e-gazette will be published at the PNMB portal ( www.lawnet.com.my.
) every day or at any time as required upon by the Malaysian Government. E-Gazette will be combined with Subsidiary Law and will be printed weekly.
Lawnet is an online platform featuring PNMB's Online Library of Malaysian Laws, which contain the AUTHORITATIVE text of the Laws of Malaysia. The platform can be accessed via www.lawnet.com.my.
The Lawnet website is a comprehensive and easy to surf website, catering to practicing lawyers, legal advisors, academicians, law students and it is also open to the general public. Users are able to access the information at their own convenience as the website contains a complete database of Malaysia Laws. Any amendment and approved new laws will also be updated into the system from time to time thus making it a gigantic database for interested users.
LawNet started going online in year 1998 and has since included the Updated Acts of Parliament, Principal Acts (Original), Amendment Acts, Ordinances, Bills Supplement, Updated Rules & Regulations, Legislative Supplement (A), Legislative Supplement (B), Federal Constitution, Criminal Procedure Code, Penal Code, National Land Code, Rules of Court, Court Forms, General Orders and Treasury Order. LawNet also launched its electronic Gazette (e-Gazette) platform which is the electronic version of Malaysia Gazette printed by PNMB.
In addition, LawNet also contains value-added services such as the Legal Terms Definition, Latin Dictionary, and Index of Subsidiary Legislation and selected Judgments of the Privy Council. LawNet is consistently expanding its range of database and value-added services to include Syariah Law, Cases and Bankruptcy and Datukship searches.
